I am 40 years out of High School, 30 years out of college, when I felt called to be an educator. I knew very little about any of the subjects covered in the Praxis 5001. (Eukaryote Cell? Huh?) I found Dr. Jasper and NavaED on YouTube and immediately purchased the hard copy book and the online course. The book, online course and YouTube videos are exceptional, and Dr. Jasper maximizes your investment with very comprehensive content (Ex. To get all the information you have in the Language Arts section alone, you would need 20 different books), and then she teaches you how to apply the information as an educator, as well as how to test most effectively. In summary, I passed the 5001 the first time I took it with scores ranging from 175-181 in all four sub tests. Bonus, NavaED has a great Facebook group you can join and get help and support from Dr. Jasper and other people preparing to test! As someone who is horrible at taking exams, I was shocked when I found I passed Praxis 7813 my first and only time. I was honestly terrified three weeks prior to taking the exam because I had taken the practice test provided by ETS and failed it. I spent about a week studying other math materials and felt like I couldn't understand anything in the aspects of geometry and algebra. I stumbled upon Mrs. Jasper's videos on youtube when searching for more help and came across her website and products. I didn't have much time left before the exam date and decided to take a chance and try this product. I spent about a week and three days studying the entire book and going through the problems. While there were still things I feel like I lacked a deeper understanding in, but I felt more secure. I took the exam, and boy was I surprised that I passed. In order to renew my certification, I had to either complete 6 college hours in Educational Leadership or successfully pass the test again. I decided that I couldn’t afford the college hours, and began to focus on retaking the test. Since I had easily passed the test the first time I took it, I was feeling pretty confident. However, a few days later, I discovered that my state had recently adopted the SLLA 6990 to serve as the new leadership assessment. Upon researching the 6990, I began to get nervous and have very doubtful feelings about passing it. Thankfully, while searching for resources to study for the 6990, I discovered NavaED. After successfully completing NavaED’s SLLA 6990 online course, my confidence was restored. One month later, I passed the SLLA 6990, exceeding my state’s score requirements by twenty points! I bought this course this past Monday and took my ESOL Praxis this morning (just a few days later). My raw score (of 182) indicates that I passed! This is in large part due to Kathleen and her course. I did NOT feel like reading a hundreds of pages long Praxis book so I bought this instead. The study guide is lengthy but much more manageable than the aforementioned book. On Tuesday I listened to the webinar and took notes. On Wednesday I worked through the study guide, taking note and completing the practice questions at the end of each section. This morning, before taking my exam, I worked through the practice test sent to me by the ETS. I never ended up having the time to complete Kathleen's practice tests, but she graciously includes two 120 question practice tests (with answers and answer explanations) in this course. There were a couple of minor spelling and grammatical errors in the study guide (to be expected in such a long document) but they do not detract from the product. Even though my Praxis exam had some obscure questions that Kathleen hadn't gone over in the study guide (again, to be expected -- her study guide is a well put together summary of ESOL certification tests), her test taking tips are great and she has a very simple and streamlined way of presenting information. I especially loved the good words/bad words pages. I'd recommend this product to anyone in need of their ESOL certification, without hesitation! Thanks, Kathleen!”

The download was quick and easy, and I spent the next to days studying without stopping using this Guide. It was very detailed and give you a small quiz at the end of each unit, then has its own 120 test at the end of the guide. This was extremely helpful as the sample question helped me get an idea of what to expect on the test and how to best go about answering the questions.
